Cute journal entry

Today one of my second graders, Raphael (who I would guess is about 8 or 9 years old), wrote the following for his journal entry at school. I thought you might enjoy:

“When I was a little boy I didn’t know how to read and write and I didn’t know the alphabet wel so my mother teach me the alphabet. And then I know the alphabet wel. But when I sat down to think how to read and write I’m very comefusing and my mind get mixed up and I didn’t figure i out and it seemed like a puzzle to me. But in 2009 I went to school with my friend Dave and Samuel. And then I know how to read and write and I’m very happy and puzzle is solved.”

That makes the work of running JCS totally worth it, and makes me want to do all I can to keep it going. 🙂 Please do continue to pray that the Lord will send a teacher or two to help me. After all, the school is really in His hands, and He can and will take care of it much better than I. 🙂

In other news, Jeff and I confirmed our tickets and our wedding date is now officially set for July 23rd. Only 74 days!!!!!!! We’ll be in the US for about 6 weeks in all before returning to set up housekeeping in our little house in Kensa.

Hope you have a great rest of the week! Thank you for your prayers.

Due to my limited connection in Kiari, I have to limit the file size of incoming messages. Plain text—even a long letter—will come through just fine, but I may not be able to receive an email with pictures or attachments. Thank you for your help with this! ☺
