Quick update

I just wanted to make a quick post to say a huge THANK YOU to those folks who replied to my “Birua” post assuring us of your prayers. I know many more were praying too. The Lord is answering, and He has used you all to encourage my heart!

The opposition certainly continues, but there has been some encouragement, at least with the school. The two girls I told about leaving for government school did go, but their brother was back the next day and said that he didn’t think it was God’s will for him to go so he was staying!!! Then that whole week was awful with a couple of other students’ parents asking for transfer cards and then the students breaking down in tears when I gave them to them because they didn’t know anything about it and didn’t want to go… Then prayer especially for one of them whose unsaved father seemed to be the one who wanted her to go… And he changed his mind!!!… and then changed it back again and said she had to go… but at last just took her sister (not a student with us) and told her she could stay if she really wanted to. The other student’s parents each came to me separately and told me they didn’t have “bel isi” (peace) about sending her off so I didn’t even need to worry about giving them the transfer card. What a huge blessing and encouragement to see these answers to prayer!

The church problems remain, however, swinging back and forth all the time. Please be in prayer as Mr. Smith comes in tomorrow for a few days to try to settle some of the “heavies”. We are praying particularly that the Lord would give a godly spirit of humility to all concerned.

Please also continue to pray for the Lord to send teachers!!!

We look forward to seeing what He will do.
